Number of Mined Units Traded On the Cryptocurrency Network and Global Carbon Emissions: An ARDL Boundary Testing Approach

This paper investigates the relationship between the number of units extracted from cryptocurrency traded on their network and the increase in global carbon dioxide emissions. The analysis is based on monthly data for eight cryptocurrencies (independent variables) and carbon dioxide (CO2 dependent variable) extending from July 2015 to February 2023, the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model was used. The results extracted from the bounds test showed a long-term relationship between the variables, with Dash and Bitcoin having a greater impact than other cryptocurrencies. The results of the error correction model (ECM) estimation also demonstrated that the adjustment speed from the short term to the long term is 24.50% per year. Therefore cryptocurrencies, especially the Dash and Bitcoin currencies, contribute to the increase in carbon dioxide emissions but with a negligible effect.

THE APPLICATION OF QUEUING THEORY TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF SERVICE PRESENTED BY CNEP BANK - JIJEL AGENCY

This study aimed to explore the impact of applying queuing theory in administrative decision-making in the Banking sector to tackle the issue of long waiting time for customers, in one of CNEP Bank (JIJEL agency, Algeria). Key conceptual frameworks were addressed for research variables, using the software (QM Windows) for analyzing different data, and the study was conducted from January 20, 2023 to February 7, 2023. The result of the research and analysis showed that the application of the Queuing Theory helps in making sound administrative decisions related to reducing waiting time in the studied Bank branch.

THE EFFECT OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT ABROAD AND EXPORTS ON ECONOMIC GROWTH: BRICS COUNTRIES

The main purpose of this paper is to examine the causality and long-run relationship between outward foreign direct investments (OFDI), exports, and home country economic growth for the BRICS countries during the period 1992-2018. To achieve this objective, panel data was used, Johansen Fisher Panel Co Integration Test were applied, along with the error correction model to detect causality in the long run. The empirical results revealed the presence of a panel long-run and short-run relationship between OFDI and GDP. On the other hand, long-term exports and GDP moved together in the long run, but there was no short-term causal relationship between exports and GDP.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AS A GLOBAL TREND IN DEVELOPING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY

This study aims to highlight the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing Blockchain technology or industry by analyzing the trends and growth of Blockchain applications worldwide, whether in the financial sector or in other innovative fields. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which is that despite the decline in investments in the financial technology sector in the last two years (2022 and 2023), there is actual and expected growth in Blockchain technology on a global scale in double-digit figures (expected growth in 2024 by more than 162 billion US dollars), which demonstrates investors' confidence in this technology and its expanding uses beyond the financial and banking system. Applications of artificial intelligence have enhanced the use of this technology in various fields (educational, healthcare, video games, etc.), and its high level of security makes it support financial inclusion and provide services to underserved populations.

العوامل المساهمة في تبني الدفع الالكتروني في قطاع النقل بالجزائر دراسة حالة مؤسسة النقل الحضري والشبه حضري بولاية تيارت

حاولنا من خلال هذه الدراسة أن نسلط الضوء على واقع الدفع الالكتروني في قطاع النقل بالجزائر، من خلال فحص أهم العوامل المساهمة في اعتماد الخدمات الالكترونية عبر الهاتف المحمول (تطبيق حافلتي) على عينة من 93 زبون من زبائن مؤسسة النقل الحضري والشبه الحضري بولاية تيارت وفق المقاربة النظرية لنموذج قبول التكنولوجيا. وباعتماد أسلوب النمذجة بالمعادلات الهيكلية في الجانب التطبيقي من الدراسة، وبعد تقدير معاملات المسار للنموذج الهيكلي والتحقق من مؤشرات جودة النموذج تبين أن المخاطر المتصورة تؤثر سلبا على كل من الفائدة المتصورة وسهولة الاستخدام، في حين تبين أن الفائدة المتصورة تؤثر بشكل إيجابي وقوي على موقف الزبون، الذي يحدَد بشكل ايجابي نية الزبون في تبني الدفع الالكتروني عبر الهاتف المحمول.
