IMPACT DE LA LIBÉRALISATION COMMERCIALE SUR L’INTÉGRATION ET LE DÉVELOPPEMENT DE L'ECONOMIE ALGÉRIENNE : ÉVALUATION PAR UN MODÈLE D’ÉQUILIBRE GÉNÉRAL CALCULABLE
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the present work, we suggest the analysis of the impact of liberalization on the Algerian economy. The adopted approach will be the one related to the general equilibrium models (GEM). The model used relates to a small opened economy, conceived for the analysis of trading policies. The different simulations relate to the suppression of the customs duties on the imports of industrial and agricultural products.
The comparison of various simulations shows that customs disarmament caused positive effects on the production and final consumption and negative effects on wages and the investment. The suppression of the customs duties generates an increase in the imports and losses in state income causing a decrease in the public saving.
