IMPACT D’UNE POLITIQUE RESTRICTIVE DES IMPORTATIONS SUR L’ÉCONOMIE ALGÉRIENNE

Abstract

The purpose of this article is the study of the impact of Algeria's import-restrictive policy to cope with the negative effects of the global drop in the price of oil in 2014-2016. The study was carried out on the basis of 1989 - 2016 data using the "scenario" technique of the simultaneous equations model (SEM). The impact of the restrictive import policy, according to the results, seems to be reflected much more in decreasing consumption, public expenditure and GDP without any effect on investment
