Abstract
Financial Crisis Globalization and Algeria: Challenge and New Perspective joining globalization implies exploitation by unequal exchange but not compression of mass incomes. Transformation of comparative advantage into international competitiveness is archived comparative advantage through devaluation, an intelligent instrument of mobilizing rents. Economic liberalization and state intervention can be combined in complex strategies which reject theoretical orthodoxy. The world economic crisis strengthens those economies which are able to create locally the conditions for growth. Algeria with limited agricultural resources has to reject tne temptation of relying on temporarily still growing mineral (oil) rents and opt for a complex strategy of transforming its rents into productive capacity by combining opening to the world more market and launching local mass consumption.
