Abstract
Since the beginning of the third millennium, the local systems of production (LSP) became more and more essential in policies of regional development in Morocco. Through proximity approaches, this article attempts to verify the relevance of the LSP concept for the organizational configuration analysis of artisanal companies of Safiote pottery, object of a development project of cluster by the ONUDI and the Moroccan government. We question the effectiveness of their functional interdependences from the point of view of openness to international trade and dynamics of innovation. Combining conceptual and factual analyses, the article establishes a critical examination of the project at the very moment when we assist its promotion in competitiveness and excellence poles, (plan of development 2008-2012) and expose a certain number of tools capable of improving its effectiveness.
