Abstract
Facing failure again, focused of all policies adopted in the process of the urban development city of Algiers since the colonial period, it is clear that the various instruments of urban put in place are unable to come to grips of all the constraints of its site which is very exciting, and the contradictions of a management which can't find her benchmarks A moreover a city satisfy the travel needs of a population in a constant increase, and which distance between the places of residence and the sites of activity, exacerbated by the urban sprawl, carries out a strong pressure on the networks of highways and transportation. Where gap which continues to widen between a mobility of growing and diverse and a network of transport which n happens not to be the same diapason, and even less to break the monopoly of the automobile. That is why, the authorities have put in place a new strategy of transport which is based on a panoply of efficient means whose interconnection and integration constitute the foundation of the inter modality and of the multimodality, regarded themselves as response a very substantial to the challenges of sustainable development of the agglomeration.
