Abstract
This article deals with the succession within family businesses, as a complex process, and internal actors involved. It proposes to explore the socialization of successors in the context of the family businesses transfer. We transfer the process of the organizational socialization and the repreneurial socialization (Boussaguet, 2005, 2014) in the field of family business succession. The process of successor's entry is studied through three cases (Yin, 2014), located in different geographical contexts Albania, Algeria and France. The results confirm three steps (anticipated socialization, active socialization and integration) of the socialization within the family successor, as well as the role of internal socializing agents such as family. The contributions of this research are, on one hand, the transposition of the concept of organizational socialization into the field of the family business (Boussaguet, 2014) and, on the other hand, the importance of contextualization concerning family business. Moreover, from a managerial point of view, a better understanding of the human dimensions during the inheritance process in these families SME's could lead to a greater anticipation and a preparation of this process.
