LIBÉRALISATION DES SERVICES FINANCIERS ET CROISSANCE ÉCONOMIQUE. CAS DE L’ALGÉRIE

Abstract

This article examines the impact of financial liberalization on economic growth in Algeria from 1970 to 2013 using a structural VAR model. This analysis is augmented b y a causality test (Granger) and analysis functions of impulse responses. Estimates indicate a positive impact and a sense of causality from financial liberalization to economic growth. The interpretation of these results requires, however, attention and thoughtfulness, knowing that this liberalization is still partial and incomplete
