Abstract

The crisis of 2008 demonstrated, once again, that the methods and instruments used in the explanation of such phenomena are quite relative. Thus, considering the state of economic indicators after the crisis 2008, mathematical models have evolved from quadratic to exponential linear type in order to better integrate the
influence of factors, like virtual ones, and that are pending on monetary and financial affairs. This led us to study the case of five national economies witch have a significant weight on the course of the international monetary and financial system. Thus, using a data panel, our results have converged to conclude that a better explanation of economic crises is based on a systematic using exponential model of power three and four.
